An Improvised Play

An extended workshop best done as a week-long intensive or group of 8 classes, resulting in a fully improvised two-act play. We’ll cover grounded scene work, movement on stage, character development, point of view, object work, and holding a narrative structure lightly. The starting point is creating characters and relationships that we care about; do that, and an audience will happily see them again and again in any plot configuration. This workshop can be tailored to different styles and genres, as with Love and Misinformation: An Improvised Play in the style of Caryl Churchill.

It’s recommended thatĀ participants have at least two years of improv or acting experience and are comfortable with scene work. Please contact me for availability, pricing, and further info.
